I have never known another therapist like Anne – somebody who walks alongside me through the tears, the anger, the fear, the anxiety, the laughter – somebody who sees me for who I am with empathy and without judgement. Anne is very generous with what she offers – she wears her heart on her sleeve.
I have learnt so much about myself in an environment of honesty and compassion where trust has grown. That trust leads me to a place of safety where it is okay to bring all of me – something that I have never had in my life before. Anne works with me in a multi-dimensional way especially as my natural language was drawn and not spoken to begin with. She has shown me that it is okay to work in this way and is very supportive of it– nobody has ever expressed this to me before and so is something that I hold close; I can be seen and heard.
I have found Anne to be very knowledgeable, which has challenged me, where I have been able to gain further understanding of my history and how it affects me today: it has enabled me to take small steps to a new or different beginning.
Senior Accredited Counsellor and Supervisor
I have worked with Anne as supervisor of my counselling and supervision work for some years. Anne’s ability to offer challenge while holding my vulnerabilities, and her skill in articulating processes I am struggling with have supported me to be the best I can be with my clients and supervisees. This is a relationship I trust and value enormously.
Samantha Tarren, Head of Counselling, University of Warwick
Anne is the External Consultant Supervisor for our team of experienced counsellors. She is always professional, insightful and clearly boundaried – as well as being responsive and flexible when required. I can highly recommend her.
Jo, Vicarious Trauma and Self Care Workshop Attendee – 2018
That’s the best CPD I’ve attended and I’ll definitely come along to more! I loved the mixed media approach! I feel more aware of my body and brain and how responses can be natural and not something to berate myself for! Lots of amazing resources, I plan to use these myself.

Thank you. The hard work, time and energy taken to put such a course together showed in your passion in the way you taught us. You certainly love this and it shows! I enjoyed every element of the course and the learning gained was priceless!
Lynne, Counsellor, MBACP
One of the best ways to learn about yourself and your responses to your experiences can be through personal therapy. Anne is well qualified to accompany you on your journey no matter how difficult or long it may be. A natural empath, Anne brings professionalism, compassion and understanding to her practice, and this is totally underpinned by thorough knowledge and understanding of the person centred model of counselling.

I have been working with Anne for a couple of years now.
She is professional, able, warm and friendly without being at all ‘mumsy’.
She listens carefully to what I say, and even more carefully to what I don’t say.
Her intelligent understanding and gentle sense of humour have pulled me through some tight places and I am glad I found her.
